The SEC & CFTC jointly classified BCH as a digital commodity

On March 17, 2026, the SEC and CFTC jointly released a landmark 68-page interpretive framework formally classifying certain crypto assets as digital commodities under CFTC oversight — not securities under SEC rules. Bitcoin Cash was explicitly named as one of only 16–18 coins out of more than 30,000 on the market to receive this designation, alongside BTC, ETH, SOL, and a handful of others.

What this means in plain English:

  • ✓ BCH is not a security under U.S. federal law
  • ✓ Oversight moves to the CFTC, widely seen as more crypto-friendly than the SEC
  • ✓ BCH mining is explicitly not considered a securities offering
  • ✓ Years of regulatory uncertainty removed — opening the door to institutional participation, ETFs, and broader adoption
  • ✓ BCH is formally grouped with BTC as a commodity-like asset, reinforcing its legitimacy as peer-to-peer electronic cash

Market reaction has been measured so far — much of this was anticipated — but the real benefits will unfold over time: institutional inflows, reduced litigation risk, and a stronger foundation for regulated products built on BCH. It's the continuation of BCH's growth story.

What is Bitcoin Cash?

🪙

Digital cash

Bitcoin Cash is digital money you can send to anyone in the world in seconds, for a fraction of a cent in fees. Think of it like handing someone a bill — except you can do it from anywhere, instantly.

🔒

Private & direct

No bank. No PayPal. No credit card company seeing what you bought. BCH goes from your wallet straight to the artist's wallet. Nobody in between.

⚠️
Wait — isn't Bitcoin the one that gets expensive to send?

That's Bitcoin (BTC). On a quiet day a BTC transfer costs less than a dollar, but BTC keeps its blocks small on purpose, so when the network gets busy the fees spike. On April 20, 2024 the average BTC fee hit $128. You can't run a tipping system on a coin where a $2 tip might cost more than $2 to send.

BTC has been taken over by Wall Street, hedge funds, and institutional players who turned it into a speculative asset to hold, not spend. When Wall Street takes over "freedom money," it stops being freedom money.

Bitcoin Cash is what Bitcoin was supposed to be. It split from BTC in 2017 to preserve the original vision: peer-to-peer electronic cash that anyone can use, with fees under a penny. Want the full story? Read Hijacking Bitcoin by Roger Ver →

BCH has a future — and we believe its value will reflect that

We believe that as more people discover that BTC has been hijacked by institutional interests and abandoned its founding principles, they will return to the coin that kept the promise. Bitcoin Cash has never wavered — fast, cheap, peer-to-peer cash, exactly as designed.

With BCH now one of only 16 commodities recognized by the SEC out of 30,000+ coins, it has a regulatory foundation that most crypto simply doesn't have. We can't promise anything about price — nobody can — but we believe the long-term trend is up. Be clear-eyed about the swings, though: BCH lost about 62% of its value in the first half of 2026. A tip can be worth less tomorrow as easily as more. Artists who'd rather lock in a tip's value can swap their BCH for PUSD (ParyonUSD), a US-dollar stablecoin that lives on Bitcoin Cash itself. It's backed by BCH, designed to stay at $1, and no company can freeze it. Swap on a Bitcoin Cash exchange app like Cauldron and hold it in a wallet that supports BCH tokens, such as Selene. It's new (launched April 2026) and still small, so don't put more in it than you can afford to have go wrong.

How to get BCH and tip an artist

01

Get a wallet

A wallet is an app that holds your BCH.

New to crypto and on an iPhone? Start here.

These are the simplest to set up. All of them let you hold your own keys, so nobody can freeze your money.

Bitcoin.com Wallet (BCH)
The most widely used Bitcoin Cash app on iPhone. You can buy BCH right in the app. Use it for BCH only: its USDC isn't on Solana, so it can't send or receive USDC tips here.
bitcoin.com/wallet →
Selene Wallet (BCH + PUSD)
Bitcoin Cash only, built to be as simple as possible. Fewer buttons, fewer ways to get lost. It also holds PUSD, the Bitcoin Cash dollar, if you want to lock in what your tips are worth.
selene.cash →
Phantom (USDC / USDT)
The easiest Solana wallet. Holds USDC and USDT with no setup. Keep a little SOL in it: every send needs a tiny bit of SOL for the fee, even when you're sending USDC.
phantom.com →

Want Monero (XMR) on iPhone? Use Cake Wallet, listed below. It also does BCH and USDC/USDT on Solana if you'd rather have everything in one app.

Want more privacy? We recommend these privacy-focused options:

Stack Wallet (mobile)
Our top pick. Has CashFusion built in — automatically mixes your coins for maximum privacy. No setup needed.
stackwallet.com →
Electron Cash (desktop)
The gold standard BCH desktop wallet. Full control of your funds. CashFusion available as a plugin.
electroncash.org →
Cake Wallet (mobile)
Clean, beginner-friendly with good BCH support and strong privacy features.
cakewallet.com →

When you create a wallet, write down your seed phrase and keep it somewhere safe offline. This is the only way to recover your funds.

03

Send a tip

On any video card where the artist has listed an address, you'll see a Tip row with a button for each coin they accept:

  1. 1. Click BCH, then Copy address, or scan the QR code with your phone
  2. 2. Open your BCH wallet and tap Send
  3. 3. Paste the address, enter an amount — even $1 is meaningful — and hit Send
  4. 4. Done. The artist receives it within seconds, anywhere in the world, for less than a cent in fees

No BCH? Some artists take other coins

Some artists also list a Solana address for USDC or USDT, or a Monero (XMR) address. If they do, you'll see those buttons next to BCH on their video. It works the same way: pick the coin, copy or scan, send.

Send exactly the coin the button names, on the network it names. USDC or USDT sent from Tron or Ethereum to a Solana address is gone for good, and so is BTC sent to a BCH address.

Why BCH and not PayPal, Venmo, or OnlyFans?

🚫

Payment platforms ban adult content

PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Stripe — they all prohibit adult content and will freeze or ban accounts without warning. Artists lose their earnings with no recourse.

✂️

Platforms take massive cuts

OnlyFans takes 20%. Fansly takes 20%. With BCH, 100% of your tip goes to the artist. The only fee is the BCH network fee — less than a cent.

👁️

Banks and cards track everything

Every card transaction is logged. BCH gives you privacy — and with CashFusion built into Stack Wallet, your transactions are mixed automatically, making them virtually untraceable.

🌍

Works everywhere, instantly

Artists can be anywhere in the world. BCH doesn't care about borders, banking hours, or international transfer fees. Send $2 to someone in Thailand as easily as next door.

🔮
We believe BCH will one day overtake BTC

It may sound bold, but as more people wake up to the fact that BTC has been captured by Wall Street and abandoned its founding principles, we believe they will migrate to the coin that kept the promise. Bitcoin Cash has stayed true to Satoshi's vision — cheap, fast, peer-to-peer cash. BTC has become a slow, expensive store of speculation for the ultra-wealthy. History tends to reward the real thing over the imitation. We're betting on BCH.

Feel free to copy this website

Feel free to copy this website and make it your own, for whatever niche you're into. I built it on my own with no team and no budget, using cheap tools anyone can sign up for, and if this model works, voting for the best and tipping the artists directly with nobody in the middle taking a cut, I'd like to see it copied all over the place. I'm biased of course, but I think it's a better way to do this than what's out there now.

If you want to know how it's built, email alex@pineapplewatersports.com and I'll tell you what I used and how it fits together. Just use your own name, your own database and your own artists, not ours.
